On one screen
- Do not fly on it. It is a window-seat atlas, not an instrument.
- It is provided as it is, with no promise that a number in it is right.
- The content is other people's, under open licences that require credit — which the app gives.
- Your statutory rights are not affected by any of this, whatever the rest of it says.
1. Who this is between
These terms are between you and TO/GA Norbert Mazur, Władysława Pytlasińskiego 16/13, 00-777 Warszawa, the publisher of Groundtrack. Installing or using the app means accepting them. If you do not accept them, delete the app.
Apple's own Media Services Terms and Conditions also apply to anything obtained through the App Store or TestFlight, and where they give you more than these terms do, they win.
2. What Groundtrack is not
Groundtrack is not an Electronic Flight Bag and not a navigation aid. Nothing in it is certified, current, or fit for flight operations. It must not be used for navigation, for separation, for terrain avoidance, for fuel planning, or for any operational decision of any kind.
It is a passenger-window atlas that happens to work in a flight deck. Whether a personal device belongs in one at all is a matter for your operator's policy, not for this app.
Three specific limits, because a vague disclaimer is not a useful one:
- Airspace boundaries approximate published airspace. They are good enough for “we enter the Milan FIR in about five minutes” and not good enough for anything operational.
- Places are held as single points. A distance to something large — a mountain range, a sea, a city — is approximate by construction.
- The data goes stale. A map built last year describes last year. Populations change, glaciers retreat, borders move, and the app is not a live service that corrects itself.
3. Your licence to use it
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Groundtrack on devices you own or control, for as long as these terms are kept. You do not get ownership of the app, and the licence ends if you stop keeping to these terms.
You may not sell, rent or sub-licence the app, reverse-engineer it except where the law says you may regardless of what a licence claims, remove the credits it displays, or extract the bundled catalogue, photographs or map data in order to redistribute them outside the terms of their own licences (see below).
4. Content, and whose it is
Most of what Groundtrack shows you was made by other people and is used under open licences. Those licences require attribution, and the app gives it — beside every photograph, and in full under Settings → Sources and credits. The credits are a licence condition, not decoration, and removing them is not something the app permits or you may do.

The app's own code, design, name and mark are not covered by those licences and remain the publisher's.
5. Services the app talks to
When you download a sector, the app fetches map tiles, elevation data and full-size photographs from public services run by other people. Those services can change their terms, rate-limit, or stop; when they do, sector downloads stop working and there is nothing the app can do about it. Everything already on your phone keeps working.

6. TestFlight builds
Builds distributed through TestFlight are pre-release. They may contain defects, may show wrong figures, and may stop working: TestFlight builds expire ninety days after they are uploaded. Do not rely on one for anything, and do not redistribute it.
A pre-release build is also not a promise about a later one. The build on TestFlight today is iPhone-only; the iPad layout and the Apple Watch app described on the home page are written but are not in it, and nothing here commits to a date for them or to their arriving at all.
7. Price and purchases
The build currently distributed has no purchases in it and no subscription. Nothing in it can charge you anything.
A subscription is written and is intended for a later build. It will cover downloading sectors beyond the first one and keeping the map data current. The bundled world, the places, the photographs, the live position, the feed, the crossings and the six languages are not behind it and are not going to be.
When it arrives, the price, what it includes, the renewal period and how to cancel will be shown before anything is bought, and the App Store handles the payment, the receipt and the refunds — not us. A sector already downloaded stays on your device whether or not a subscription is still running. No price is quoted on this website, because none has been set with Apple yet, and a price printed here that differed from the one in the app would be worse than no price at all.
8. No warranty
Groundtrack is provided as it is. It is not promised to be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted or free of defects, and no warranty is given beyond those that cannot be excluded by law.
This is not boilerplate hedging: the app is assembled from open data that nobody has verified place by place, and it says so on its own first screen rather than only here.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the publisher is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of Groundtrack, including any decision taken on the strength of something it displayed.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected by anything in these terms.
10. Changes
These terms can change when the app does. The date at the top says when they last did. Continuing to use the app after a change means accepting the new version; if you would rather not, delete it.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of Poland, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the law of the country you live in, or of the right to bring a claim there.
